THERE was a sense of relief when John Farnham and Olivia Newton-John christened their joint tour by duetting on his hit Two Strong Hearts.
Last year’s Farnham double bill with Lionel Richie was a disappointing two superstars passing in the night affair. This one is very different — longtime friends reunited on stage and loving every second.
Their friendship is evident when Farnham is so busy making his trademark dud dad jokes he loses his spot in their beautiful version of Peter Allen’s classic Tenterfield Saddler. Livvy (and the teleprompter he’s proud to use) get Farnsey quickly back on track.
